HISTORY

The talented head chef and joint owner Mike Osbeck is an internationally renowned chef.

Born in Finland he was once an executive chef aboard a luxurious cruise ship, where one of his guests was Mike Rice, who was enjoying a well-deserved break with his family.

The two got chatting one night and Mike Rice learned that Mike Osbeck (The Chef) was planning to buy a pub in Cheshire. Mike Rice was also looking for a new business challenge at the time and so they began looking together and found The Queens Royal.

Then third partner Martin Brassey came on board as he was the architect who renovated the building for the previous owners 10 years ago and is good friend of Mike Rice.

With Our combined food, business and architectual experience, the three of us have made a terrific start to what's already shaping up to be a very successful enterprise, especially since our policy is to use only top-quality fresh produce, professionally prepared and served.

We also insist that there's no timescale to your meal, so you can take as long as you like - and so you should, since we offer a superb carvery that's unique and well worth lingering over.
